MB Web Protection blocking google

I was tearing my hair out the past 24 hours.  All browsers got timeouts when trying to get to any google services.

I couldn't even post here because MB Forums use google authentication (check here if you aren't a robot etc)

Turned MB Web Protection = off

Problem solved.

But why is your software doing this to me??

Thanks!  The only listings in "Reports" are Scans, all of which were clean.

It's the website protection logs we need (listed as "Website Blocked"), but I'll point one of the support guys here to assist you.

Please create a ticket via;

https://support.malwarebytes.com/community/consumer/pages/contact-us

Once a ticket has been created, please let us know the ticket number

You can open the Malwarebytes program and go to Reports and find the report where the block is shown. Then click the report to view, and export it to to a file or clipboard to paste back here please.

There are no log entries of website blocked.  But the behavior is clear - when website protection is on, the google services hang at "Resolving Host" and once I turn it off they are accerssible again

I can help you look at this further here on the forums if you like. I'm sure the helpdesk can help you too but they're backed up a bit and that might take a while to get  a reply.

I'd like to get some logs from your computer to see what might be going on. If you could read and follow the directions from this topic and post back the log that would be great.

Thanks so much.  I can't spend any more time on it - it killed 6 hours for me the other day until we figured out the source.

I hope someone at MB is able to fix it, because then I would turn website protection on again.

Well we have millions of users running the program just fine. Without logs there is no way anyone can help you. We cannot see what's going on with your computer if we don't get logs.

When you have time and would like to try to get this resolved please let me know and I'll be happy to assist you.
