Can't Load DDA Drvr - Then "Awsome, You're Protected"

Recommended Posts

Computer Turn On after trip / Clk Taskbar "M" shtcut to Open App & Get popup [ Can't Load DDA Driver - Suggest Re-Start] /

After Re-start ...... Web Protection = OFF + Red Flag in Sys Tray M Icon by Clock /

Dnload FRST.exe/

Decided to Try Another Re-Start

After Re-Start -- Sys Tray M Icon by Clock is Normal = No Red ---  Clk Taskbar M shtcut to Open App and Keep Getting - "Can't Load DDA Driver" - popups each time  - FOLLOWED by Dashboard  -  " Awsome, You're Protected" - AND - Everything in Protection Tab is Green.

Before trip Shutdown All was OK; Previously incurred Protection Off (AFTER) an ESET Security App Repair, a Windows 7 Update, and a Re-install of Firefox -- but used FRST FIX or Install-Overs to correct; A recent ESET Version Upgrade did NOT affect MBAM ..........

Another Re-Start produced Malware Protection OFF in Real-Time Protection with Sys Tray Red Flag.

Did you try reinstalling over your existing installation? This often repairs problems like this. Latest installer here:

Yep, That did it. No popup when I clk the App shtcut now. Thanks!!

THIS was my 5th or 6th Install-Over, so I'm a Pro. I thought this time I'd post the mb-check-results just to let someone see if they can find a "cause".

Thanks to Porthos I have 15 Exceptions in my ESET Security App but dcollins thinks my various "Protection-Off" occurrences are from ESET messing with MBAM.

MBAM will act-up again in X weeks and I'm willing to Install-over + multi-ReStarts when that strategy works.

Thanks again!
