Real Time Protection Layers Turned Off

Recommended Posts

Good Morning All

I have just upgraded MBAM 2.2 to MBAM Premium v. 3.2.2.2029 (with lifetime licence) on my Lenovo laptop running Windows Home Pro.

Each time I start the computer or switch users the following message from MBAM shows:-

"Real Time Protection Layers Turned Off"

The layers affected are 'Web Protection' and 'Malware Protection' and they then have to be turned on manually on the main module.  This solves the problem temporarily but it returns on the next boot up.

Please can you help me resolve this?

Regards

Roy

Hello Telos

Thank you for your advice.

I followed your first suggestion to re-install over my previous version and so far (about 4 days later) the problems have not reoccurred.

If it does happen again I shall proceed with the other scans/logs etc. and post back to you.

I note that there is now a new update to 3.3.1.2183. Do you think this will have the same faults ?! I hope not- having just solved the other one I am reluctant to do another update and get into further trouble.

Regards

Roy

I wanted to add to this thread that I have just installed 3.3.1.2183 over the version I had installed before and the problem, so far, seems fixed.

I did not have to uninstall MBAM, I just installed the new version over it. No restart either. So that's good.

I had that silly window on my screen for at least a week and I was getting aggravated with it. It was covering a good portion of my screen and preventing me from dragging windows from their lower right corner at times.

I am glad I found this thread and I was able to fix it and I hope my experience can help others with the same issue.

Thanks for confirming that the latest version fixed our issues.
