Scan Date not being updated

Hi,

 

When I go to the dashboard it shows that my last scan was 9/23/17, 2:56 AM.

I run a scan and it completes successfully but the last scan date does not update. I have run a scan about 3 times now with the same result. The Last Scan date remains the same.

Malwarebytes:  V 3.0.3.433

OS:  OSX 10.12.6 all the latest patches applied.

Cannot replicate. Mine updates each time. Possible permissions issue.

Note that you must either selectively remove any infected files found or click "Cancel" after a scan before the date is updated.

We've seen a few similar cases, and a reinstall always seems to fix it. However, we'd like to better understand what's going on. If you're willing to send us some additional information, run the attached script. It will create a file on the desktop called MalwarebytesInfo.zip. Please send that to me via a direct message. I downloaded and installed your "get malwarebytes info" utility and ran it. The result is attached. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Malwarebytes for Mac, Premium, and still do not get the scan date to update. Still saying "never happened".  Previously it was stuck on October 20, 2017. I have Malwarebytes for Mac installed on another iMac and a MacBookPro and this doe not occur. What can I do to remedy this?

Hi Billr12,

 

What was suggested and seemed to work for me was an uninstall and reinstall of Malwarebytes. I had to follow the install with a reboot to get it to update the date and time properly. 

 

If you load the install package from their main page (https://www.malwarebytes.com ) it has an uninstall pkg.

I'd be curious to find out if a restart alone, without doing a reinstall, would fix it, if anyone else is reading this.

I just checked my system logs for the last week and could not find that I did a shutdown / restart in that period.
