We updated the cloud console last night included with some new features and and new UI

Just wanted to get some opinions on what our EP customers think about the new look?

Here is out notes on this latest release let me know if there is anything we see missing! (in regards to the UI and new features)

https://support.malwarebytes.com/docs/DOC-2192

Many Thanks,

I like the new layout.  Still really need logged in user info in the asset information area.

One suggestion, when you enable a feature that previously wasn't there, don't default it to "On" for the enterprise.  My end users were really confused this morning when all of a sudden the endpoint started popping up messages about blocks, etc.  At my company we communicate all user-impacting changes before they get enabled.

And since we don't get prior knowledge about these releases it is difficult to keep my users in the loop.  Still feels like a beta ...

I see from reading DOC-2192 that the new UI is "reflecting direct user feedback", but I personally like (and now miss) the look of the previous one.  I liked the old color scheme and also the way the screens slid in and out from the side when selected.  The new UI being almost all white now looks washed-out and hard on the eyes, missing the contrast that the previous one presented.  (Not a real fan of that particular shade of blue on the left either.)  Oh well, UI "appearance" is really a subjective thing -- some will like it, others won't.  You'll never be able to design one that everyone agrees on aesthetically.

Moving forward, it would be nice to have the ability to "name" the endpoints rather than having them referenced via their pre-assigned FQDN computer names.  Many PCs have cryptic FQDN computer names meaningful for other purposes which don't necessarily make good recognizable names on the console.  Our other antivirus cloud console allows for this.  For space on the console display, let go of the useless "Operating System" column, sliding the FQDN in its position, and the user-assignable Endpoint Name as the first column.  Thoughts?

I agree with that. To be honest I LIKE that my clients do not see anything at all. If something they needed got removed, they should call me to check.

Agree with both CHall and Computerdienst on both.

As far as features go, there needs to be a lot better way of sorting and showing data on the dashboard. Put in a column picker so the Admins can sort and organize the endpoints however they want. It would also be nice if the entire list loaded when you open the page instead of loading as you scroll. If I want to search for something I have to load the page, scroll to the bottom to make sure everything loaded then search.

Off the top of my head, when I see the endpoints screen, I would like to see what engine version each endpoint is running, when it was last seen online, when it's last SUCCESSFUL scan was run. Also, being able to sort on any column rather than just endpoint and last-seen-at would be good.

Re-naming or giving an alias to endpoints would also be handy.

I believe the deployment tool is already integrated, if you click Endpoints and then Add, scroll down to the bottom and you will see "Download Malwarebytes Discovery and Deployment Tool"

Or did you mean that tool built right into the console? That would be handy. The deployment tool doesn't work right for me for whatever reason, didn't like the credentials I used or something.

New Business user here...only had old UI for a week so didn't have a lot of time to get used to it before new UI was pushed out.

That said, I agree totally with you with regards to a new feature being introduced...Tuesday end users had a silent blue icon...Wednesday they received popups galore about blocks etc!
The amount of emails and calls i got about this sudden "popup" was way too distracting and time consuming.

It really needs a way to edit / append the computer name (to add a user name or friendly name) or at least show current logged in user.

As for it feels like beta...i agree !!

I wish id have found this forum and read through end users issues before committing....i have multiple threat scans not completing on both MACS and PC's (tickets open)..some possible false positives that KDawg is currently working with me on. I've been a huge fan of the home product and advocate it to all my "peeps", so i guess for now ill bite the bullet and hope the issues get resolved.
