Possible HackHound Stealer infection

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I ran a MBAM scan overnight and it detected meong.txt as stolen data, so I opened the file and it had Hackhound Stealer written on the top and the FTP(user and pass) to which the log files are uploaded. I had run a full scan and MBAM never found anything other than the txt, nor did Eset Nod32 or HijackThis. I googled it but could not seem to find anything of use. Does anyone know if this is a one shot steal or if it leaves traces? I'm likely going to end up formatting if i don't find any solutions soon, but a friend of mine may have the same infection so all help is appreciated :(

Hi,

Please download DDS and save it to your desktop.

  • Disable any script blocking protection
  • Double click dds.scr to run the tool.
  • When done, DDS.txt will open.
  • Click Yes at the next prompt for Optional Scan.
  • Save both reports to your desktop.

---------------------------------------------------

Copy and paste the contents of DDS.txt in your next reply. Do not copy and paste the contents of Attach.txt, but attach it to your reply instead.
