can't get rid of yahoo search after malware bytes clean up

Hi, I'm not that great with IT. I got caught by the adobe flash upgrade (clearly not them i guess) and since then I can get to google through the icon on my main screen, but if I open a new window, it comes up with a yahoo search box. I have a mac running sierra. I purchased malware bytes having found it could remove it, and didn't want anything else to sneak in. Ran the scan and clean up. It found 8 things installed, and got rid of those (these didn't show up in applications nor in safari extensions etc). Mbytes says computer is clean, but I still have the same problem, despite restarting my computer after the scan and clean up.
