Is it worth it to update to MB3 from MBAM?

I've been using MBAM for a long time now and i just recently discovered that there is a whole new edition of Malwarebytes. I've read a lot of unsettling things about it though such as registry files getting deleted or just straight up breaking Windows. I have windows 7 pro x64 bit... and if there is any benefit to updating can someone tell me?

Assuming you have a licensed version V3 has added antimalware and antiransomware features that do not exist on v2. Also, v2 is no longer supported, although, for the current time, signature updates still occur.

Version 3 is safe to use. It's been around since late 2016, and has gone through many refinements since then.
