Trend Micro wants me to uninstall Malwarebytes

This morning I updated Trend Micro. I then get a message from Trend Micro that it wants to uninstall Malwarebytes. I just renewed Malwarebytes last week. I have had Trend Micro and Malwarebytes running together for over 5 years. What is going on here?

You need to make exclusions for MBAM within TrendMicro.

Its actually an abbreviation for Malwarebytes Antimalware v2.  The abbreviation we use for Malwarebytes v3 is simply MB3.  That being said, these are the files that need to be excluded in your Trend Micro.  See this KB Article.

But Trend insists on removing MB3 before it will upgrade the current version.

Your KB article above lists a whole bunch of file names, and dumps the responsibility back on the user.

Can you try this and let us know if that worked.

Under Settings/Application/ Windows Action Center : choose "Never register Malwarebytes with windows action center"
