"Your Device Has Issues" Notifications When No Malware Found

Recommended Posts

After a recent upgrade, Malwarebytes for Android shows "Your Device Has Issues" notifications daily, and when I tap them, I always go to a "No malware found!" message. Malwarebytes, if you're listening: don't tell me my phone has issues if it doesn't. I want a notification only if there's a problem. And if you're only telling me you've run a scan, I want a way to turn those notifications off.

Malwarebytes users: If any of you know of a way to disable these bogus notifications, I'd love to hear it. I couldn't find one.

Hello, please tell us the name of the smartphone, and under which Android version it was displayed?

That is very important, to figured out what is going on in this issue.

It's a Nexus 6P with Android 7.1.2 and security patch level: August 5, 2017, which the Settings app shows as up to date.

Same problem: How to stop these false alarms, which started after Malwarebyted installed without my permission a 30-day temporary "premium" version on my Samsung S5, running Android 7.0 something.

Hi @mitchbobthanks for reaching us, and thanks for feedback.

The issues notification is shown not only when malware found but when there are some other security risks too. In dashboard, we show latest scan results, which may not have any malware. however, if you scroll down, you can see possible security issues.
