did MWB push update 3.2.2.2029 this on 14/10.2017

It offered an update which I accepted - but I don't see it announced in the version history of the website. (This Home edition on windows 7).

I also got a popup to install something, around 4AM this morning I would say. I glanced and saw "Anti-Rootkit" and hit accept. it just popped up while I was scanning something I downloaded. Immediately after restarting my computer has had problems,. Significant startup lag, unresponsive Task manager and start menu, they'll just ding when I click on them for a minute or two after startup then suddenly complete everything I asked it to do.

Never had problems like this before, currently scanning with Avira and MWB to see if I've infected myself with some kind of malware.

I saw odd things go on where the laptop seemed to stop like that for a while,  but before the update as well. Odd. Hope MWB can confirm that this was an official update.

well MWB and Avira both show no detections, problems continued even after uninstalling MWB and my system restore points aren't available.

Problems seem to revolve solely around windows programs and services, I can open Firefox and browse just fine but the windows programs are almost entirely unresponsive for the first two minutes or so.

I think I'm screwed, might have to actually wipe my drives and reinstall windows after this if MWB doesn't come up with something.

maybe a coincidence but I am also using Avira alongside MWB. I don't have bad enough problems to do something like that but I did notice some odd freezes that lasted maybe a minute or so, that made me a bit paranoid.

well I'm going to forget about it for now and have some fun, I put in a ticket last night so if I get a response I'll paste it or put a pic to it on here so maybe it'll help you as well. good luck
