How many threats

The count of threats isn't really something easy to come up with. It changes all the time, and the number wouldn't take into consideration different variants of various threats (some of which have been around for years, with many different variants).

However, the ransomware part is easy. There have only ever been three ransomware threats on the Mac: KeRanger, Findzip and MacRansom. Malwarebytes for Mac detects all of them.

I would like to know if analyzes are also being made to find malicious  yet unknown threats or codes: a similar feature seems to be there for windows; if I'm not mistaken they call zero-day threats.
At what point are you with protection during web browsing and scan with disc selection?
thank you

We don't have any kind of machine learning on Mac at this point. We may look at adding that at some point, but to be honest, that's not a huge need right now, with the current Mac threat landscape. That could change at some point, of course.

We don't have any set dates for these new features that we're able to share.

Yes, the original MBAM does detect all currently known Ransomware listed, but you would need to scan the file immediately after downloading it and before attempting to install.
