MBAM "upgrade" stops MS Office from working

I probably should have posted this here first, instead of replying to another similar problem post. 

I was prompted by Malwarebytes to "upgrade" to the latest version. As soon as I did that, none of my Office 2007 (Yes, I know it's outdated) programs would even load. It also gave me problems with running Google Chrome. As soon as I uninstalled Malwarebytes, I was able to use Word & Excel again. I did NOT keep track of which version I had "upgraded" to, and I don't plan on reinstalling it at the present time because it installed a free trial of the Premium version, which I did not want.

Sorry to hear you had issues... if you still need help the team would be happy to see whats up...

Let me know if you need help and I can get you some instructions on how to proceed.

Also if you want to re-install Malwarebytes, and it installs the Trial, you can go to the Settings -> My Account -> Deactivate Trial and it will revert to the FREE version.
