Web Protection not starting

Hi there. I ran into the same problem and I have run what was suggested in this post. For me, when I try to start the Web Protection, it stays "Starting...". I have run the mb-clean-3.1.0.1031 file as suggested. It downloaded and installed the latest version. The problem still exists. I then did the following:

1. Open Malwarebytes
2. Navigate to Settings -> Application
3. Turn on Event Log Data
4. Navigate to Settings -> Protection
5. Attempt to enable Web Protection
6. Wait 30 seconds
7. Run mb-check again and upload the new mb-check-results.zip file

So, here are the files. I hope you can see what is wrong with the installation. Thank you in advanced!

Would you mind leaving all of your settings enabled as they currently are and then rebooting your computer? I'd like to see the debug log during load. After rebooting, make sure Web Protection is still off, and then run mb-check again and upload new logs please

Sorry, the above steps are not needed. It looks like you have a required service missing:

"Base Filtering Engine is disabled."

Can you open an Admin Command prompt and run the following command:

net start bfe

**UPDATE**

I remoted into the computer and started that service. It was disabled. I rebooted the machine. I waited until it finished loading what ever it was loading and opened MWB.

I clicked the button to turn on Web Protection and this time it stayed turned on. I ran a scan and no malware found. Looks like that service enabled did the trick. Thank you so much for your help! I'm a happy customer again.
