My issues have been going on for well over a month. I purchased my HP15-f387wm refurbished from Walmart & I purchased the coverage from Asurion because they have already reimbursed me for two previous laptops I had almost identical issues going on in August. I have been given some numbers that I now realize were not legit. They of course, were listed as Malwarebytes phone support. The East Indian guy from "MB Support" told me the chat I started with Microsoft to get some answers (MS Live Assistant) was fake. I know better than to panic, but the last time this happened, very few people knew how to prove it. I sounded to my family as if I had lost my mind. I called the police & there were two officers dispatched that I tried to tell about a man claiming to be from the Sherrif's Office in Tulsa County (OK) had come to the Apartment office, gave me his "business card", & told me to bring my computer & he would have forensics get what they needed, & then have it back in perfect "spy/virus/malware/browser hijacker free" My family had me checked into a local psych hospital over THIS SAME THING IN 2008 or 2009. I had already dealt with a REAL SITUATION from a man suffering with erotomania that STALKED ME FOR 10 YEARS before the police believed me!! That tends to make one hyper-vigilant. It nearly ruined my life, & my sanity as I am just intelligent enough to know what was happening was already possible. I just couldn't find the right people to have my back! The two officers I mentioned stood outside mocking me in front of my neighbors as I begged not to be left alone (it was already getting dark). When I showed them the business card, they really went into giggling fits telling me that person did not exist in the Sheriff's Department! I was in tears, & they were still yucking it up when my parents showed up. One officer walked briskly back to his patrol car. When he returned he was pasty white & he yelled at his buddy that they had to go! I was mortified, ashamed, confused, angry, & didn't know WHO IN THE HELL I COULD TRUST! I have survived that nightmare, & I will not be a victim in silence again. Please, tell me you can help. My cell phone was cloned. I could tell you unbelievable things that happened back then, & I am helpless to stop it now because I know less about Windows 10 than I did the previous Operating Systems from Microsoft.  It's so far over my head now, I quit trying to learn so I wouldn't be in this position again. I WILL NOT GO BACK TO A MENTAL HOSPITAL BECAUSE I KNOW I'M NOT CRAZY (I knew before, but no one else seemed to until I was in the hospital). Please tell me how to rectify this albatross that continues to follow me regardless of all of the security measures I take.... I won't take calls from numbers I don't know period. I'm so tired of asking people if they are who they say because it's a ridiculous question! I have no way of ever knowing, & I am trying to make a living from home because I am now deemed permanently disabled! The number I was given is 1-800-644-5716. They asked for remote access (LogMeIn) & like a lamb to the slaughter I went. The "looping" that is continuous allows me to type for about 4-8 seconds & then my cursor disappears. Wait another 4 seconds or so, & I can resume typing for up to 8 sec. Rinse & repeat! I don't expect the police to be any help. My parents are aware of what is happening again, but for now they seem to believe it must be actually going on considering all of the major hacks that are occurring in companies that have far more sophisticated protection than I. I have hundreds of screenshots, but will only send a few from tonight for now. My IT guy said it acts as though the browsers are in a constant refresh pattern. My resource monitor is crazy. I have logs from July, but when I click on it, it appears to be in current time, so will just send what I have from tonight. I'm exhausted trying to fight this nightmare.
