macos 10.13 High Sierra, Malewarebytes v3.0.3 will not install

During installation the following message appears "Checking for Authorization of the Malwarebytes Extension" I then get a screen telling me Installation Failed.

I have modified Gatekeeper to allow software from "Anywhere" and have temporarily turned off SIP...all to no avail.

Thoughts.....??

BTW: forgot to mention, I am running MacOS High Sierra 10.13.1 Beta (17B25c)

There are better ways to allow software from "Anywhere", but as you found that's not the answer.

I'd like to take a look at your install logs.

In the Finder, choose Go to Folder from the Go menu, then enter the following path in the window that opens:

/var/log/

Then click the Go button.

In the folder that opens, find the install.log file. It will probably be too large to send as is, so compress it. Control-click on the install.log file, then choose Compress "install.log" from the contextual menu that appears.

Unless there's something very atypical about your system, it will not be able to create the install.log.zip file in that folder, and will instead create it on the desktop. Send that install.log.zip file attached to a direct message to me. (Don't post it here, it could have information in it you wouldn't want posted publicly.)
