Installing keeps asking for reboot

The same problem!

Registry  key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Malwarebytes Anti-Malware_is1 - doesn't exist, all folders associated with the program  also do not exist, but log file (look attached log file) says otherwise. Version mb3-setup-consumer-3.1.2.1733.exe (MD-5 833AF1DB8881BAEADAC504AC46E93CDA) installed normal & works! Versions above 3.1.2.1733 including latest version mb3-setup-consumer-3.2.2.2029-1.0.207-1.0.2899.exe (MD-5 C83C54783CEF84E34834E0B1CD268608) cannot install and cyclical demands to continue the reboot system.

If specially I create itself these folders, then the subsequent at start of an installer writes that these folders are removed, but then asks restart of system, and after loading of system the installer and cleaner which give log: Can't delete again is again started.

Looks like your MBAMSERVICE is disabled.

Can you please try this:

1. Go to services.msc  and start the Malwarebytes Service.

2. Run mb-clean to see if anything changes.

3. Try and re-install the product from https://downloads.malwarebytes.com/file/mb3

1. Find and delete all registry keys by keywords "Malwarebytes" & "Anti-Malware", reboot, Install app MBAM v3.1.2.1733 (worked fine), go to services.msc observe Malwarebytes Service runing, type run - automatic. 

2. Run mb-clean, clean app MBAM v3.1.2.1733, go to services.msc observe Malwarebytes Service - doesn't exist, reboot system.

3. Install latest app MBAM v3.2.2.2029, automatic run mb-clean & asks to reboot system, if you click restart so in a circle after boot. Log message in file: Cannot delete folders stated by my post above.

If decompile apps 3.1.2.1733 & 3.2.2.2029 the benefit is based on Inno Setup, observe carefully in version 3.1.2.1733 does not include built-in app mb-clean. Starting with version 3.2.2.1959 and up, app mb-clean included with the installer, which possibly interferes with the installation of the program, or the install_script.iss doesn't fulfill properly.

@Coder mb-clean was added to help cover issues, it shouldn't be interfering with the installation. What's happening here is that the installer is seeing a remnant of one of our older products left over that it can't remove, so it runs mb-clean to remove it. However mb-clean doesn't see it either, but it will still try to cleanup and then reboot. Then you're back at square one.

So let's try to find what's being leftover. Can you please open a command prompt window and run the following two commands exactly as entered?

reg query hklm\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\uninstall /s >> "%USERPROFILE%\Desktop\uninstall_list.txt"
reg query hklm\software\wow6432node\microsoft\windows\currentversion\uninstall /s >> "%USERPROFILE%\Desktop\uninstall_list.txt"

This should create a file on your desktop named uninstall_list.txt. Please upload that file

dcollins, first command prompt create txt file with contents, the second command empty txt file.

Please download the attached clean.reg.zip, extract the file inside, and double click it to run it. This should delete the remnant of the old Malwarebytes product and then you should be able to install

Same problem, ive tried the clean.reg and mbcleaner, it stays asking me to reboot infinitily

That was not a general fix it was made for that other users computer. You need to do the following.

And... about tuesday ocurrence of that high ram usage, I unnistaled mb to update it because I've read in some forums that there's a fix for this problem, will it work instantly in that actual version of mb?

Ahhhhm, one more, Every time I scan with malwarebytes it tooks my Advanced System Cares always telling thats a PUP but I want it installed, how to I remove asc from malwarebytes?

Personally I wouldn't, It is removed for a reason.

Just restore them from quarantine then start a scan and when it finds them uncheck all of the files in the results and click next then ignore always.

Uploaded 2 text files - uninstall_list.txt are the results of your first command.

uninstall_list2.txt are the results of your second command with wow6432node in the command string

Please try the following:

1. Download and run the Malwarebytes Support Tool
2. Accept the EULA and click Advanced Options
3. Click Clean and follow the prompts to clean and reboot your computer
4. Once it reboots, wait a few minutes for the application to relaunch itself and follow the prompts to reinstall

If that doesn't work, please follow steps 1 and 2 above and click Gather Logs to generate a zip file on your desktop named mbst-grab-results.zip and upload that zip file

The "Clean" option returned message - no Malwarebytes software installations found (basically).

Ran the "Gather logs" option - zip file of results attached.
