Malwarebytes Update Notification Problem

When I hover over the icon in the system tray, I see this:

Malwarebytes (Premium)

Current Version:  3.1.2

Updates: Up to Date

A couple of days ago I started getting pop ups that there is a new version of malwarebytes ready to be installed. I click on Install and nothing happens. I've opened the program and the message to update is in there as well, but again nothing happens. I keep getting the popup notifications, and it's annoying. I don't want to disable popups, so what can I do to get it properly installed.

Just download the latest installer from : https://downloads.malwarebytes.org/file/mb3

Run the installer on top of your existing product. No need to uninstall.
