Cant Upgrade To Latest Version - Self Protection Conflict

This has been annoying me for a week now, but been too busy to have the time to come and ask for help lol.

 

Now its annoyed me to the point im here  and on a weekend too haha

 

Ok when i try to update to the latest version it tells me to turn off self protection then try again. I have done that and it does not work, i even did that and disabled malwarebytes at startup and it still wont let me install the latest version.

Check out the screenshot of my settings and the error.

 

 

Any help much appreciated.

I run the FRST64 then mb-check-3.1.8.10.exe as the post below suggested.

Can you please try running the mb-clean tool.

The tool can be found here: https://downloads.malwarebytes.com/file/mb_clean

This tool will disable any self protection set and should remove the older product version.

It will ask for a reboot and after you reboot the tool will prompt you to install the latest product version.

Let me know if that worked.
