Malware Protection will not stay on

I recently purchased Malwarebytes Premium.  I am running version 3.2.2.  On the dashboard and on the settings the "malware protection" button will not stay in the on position.  The dashboard says I am not fully protected.  Do you have any suggestions on how to fix this problem.
