Latest update infected?

I updated Malwarebytes just this AM before running a planned scan. Just after the update Norton flagged a file within the MBAM folder.

• Full Path: c:\programdata\malwarebytes\mbamservice\618f15f2-a514-11e7-befa-305a3a0399f1

With the recent breach involving the CCleaner exe file on the company's server one can't help but wonder.

Where could this have come from?

P.S. MBAM, your sign-up process is a steaming POS. It took me a dozen tries, clicking those picture squares over and over, before success creating an account.

Most likely a program conflict / false positive. It is not uncommon that a security program detect on other security programs

MBAM caches suspect files like this. This is not part of our install but part of our analysis of what is already on your system.

So norton detecting there isnt a big deal as we suspected the file first and copied it there.
