[resolved] Latest version restart your computer loop

Hi

I seem to be having a similar problem to others, I had a prompt earlier saying there was a new version so I tried to install it and I now have a loop where it asks me to reboot to complete installation, only problem is it keeps doing it and never installs.  It has also deleted Malwarebytes completely.  I did a mbam-clean in case there were any hidden traces left but still the same result.  I ran a FRST scan and have attached the results

Can you please download the mb-clean build from https://malwarebytes.box.com/s/ncu1pu8r6qpwng79ywts2e5e19v5v3ld.

Run the clean tool and clean up your system.

Then install the latest mb 3.2.2 build from https://downloads.malwarebytes.com/file/mb3

Let me know if that worked.

Hi @nikhils, Sadly that didn't work, it's still stuck in the loop.

It's quite late here in UK (1am) so I need sleep now, can we continue trying to sort the problem out in the morning?  Thanks

Can you please try this.

 Open your Registry and delete the following 2 keys:

1.  HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Malwarebytes Anti-Malware_is1

2. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{35065F43-4BB2-439A-BFF7-0F1014F2E0CD}_is1

Try running the latest installer after that. You should be able to install the product.

I can only find the first key, I deleted that but I can't find the second one

@nikhils I attach a screenshot of the registry, as you can see the second key is not there

After deleting that first key, if you run the installer again, does it still loop? If so, please run mb-check from http://downloads.malwarebytes.com/file/mb3_check and upload the zip file it creates
