Updates for Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for Mac

I have the original Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for Mac application on my macbook rather than the new Malwarebytes 3. 
I havent fully switched yet due to testing the newer version on my family's home computer and waiting for the self-updating to be implemented on mac.

Does the original Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for Mac app still get signature updates to be up to date on current malware and PUA's like Malwarebytes 3 does?
If not then ill fully switch to the new Malwarebytes 3.

Yes. We've been told there will even be one more update to v1.3 shortly. 

At some point I would expect v3 to have the capability to use signatures that the older versions are not capable of and there could be a day when updates stop entirely, but I don't believe a date for something like that has yet been determined.

We're actually already there. We're continuing to support both signature files at present, and the day when we cut off 1.x is not coming any time soon... but it will happen eventually.
