[resolved] The usage level has exceeded the max volume allowed.

I got hit with this today. I did some research and see I'm not the only one this has happened to. Also I did not realize that you have to deactivate your lifetime license before uninstalling the app. Nowhere on the software box did it say so. I bought this many years ago. So what do I do now? I already submitted a ticket.

Another option is to create a Malwarebytes Account using the following link: https://my.malwarebytes.com/en/register

If you have purchased the product through us, you can use the same email to register for the account.

Once you can log into your account you could deactivate on the device where your product was wiped off and reset your license key.

Thanks but I purchased this item through another vendor. I created an account just in case I need to submit another ticket.

Thanks for the info. At this time the My Malwarebytes option is not available for keys purchased from other sellers.

Please follow Ron's instructions.

Typical response time is about 5-7 days. Support is backed up and working to catch up. They only work Mon-Fri.

5 to 7 days? Unbelievable that they would put a cap on a"lifetime license". I can understand that they do it for piracy but if they check what IP the license is being submitted from they'll see it's been the same for many years. Looks like I made a mistake going with malwarebytes since they're concerned more with their pockets instead of their customers.

Sorry you are having issues, rest assured they will fix it for you, however you have to wait until they are in the office...

You are correct, they do it due to piracy... as for seeing what IP address it comes from.... If I am behind a router and have 10 computers, all 10 computers will be coming from the same IP.  They now have a better way of know what computer its coming from.....

Yes but I was never notified that you have to deactivate the license when you uninstall thereby explaining why there was so much usage of the license. I've only had just 1 pc for many years but with upgrades and many system restores I've had to reuse the license over and over again. Also I've been using a very old version of malwarebytes (don't like the new UI) so maybe that is why I was never alerted to deactivate the license when uninstalling.
