can i stop scan early and delete bugs?

Recommended Posts

Greetings,

Yes, you may if you wish, however there are a couple of things to consider before doing so.  First, if this is a full scan you're performing that is taking so long then you might be better off running a Threat scan instead, that way the scan can hopefully run to completion in a timely manner and still detect/remove all active threats from the system.  The reason I make this recommendation is because a certain aspect of our heuristics relies on checks that occur at the end of the scan to look for additional components and traces connected to threats detected earlier in the scan process so if they are already removed, those traces and components may not be detected by any later scan that you perform.

If this is a Threat scan that is taking so long, then there might be an issue with the system that may need addressing such as a hardware problem, performance issues caused by another security program on the system or of course simply due to the malware that's on the system.  If you wish, we may be able to assist in checking the system to determine why the scan is taking so long and we can even help you with cleaning the system and ensuring that no threats remain on the system.
