IS MB Really Scanning?

Hi,

I'm using Malwarebytes 3.04.1269.  When I click 'Scan Now', the progress indicator begins with 'Checking for Updates', then progresses to 'Pre-scan operations'. Then after about 20 seconds it reports 'Scan complete'.  That seems suspiciously quick, especially since it never seems to pass through the other states (Scan for rootkits,. etc)

any idea what might be happening - or not happening?

That is really old.

1. Download the latest MB 3 installer from : https://downloads.malwarebytes.org/file/mb3
   2. Run the installer on top of your existing product. (Note you don't have to uninstall anything, just run the installer again)

The version you mentioned 3.04.1269 seems to be a really older version.

Please try installing the latest build of the product. You can find the build at https://downloads.malwarebytes.com/file/mb3

Run the installer on top of existing installer.
