Folder exclusion not working

Recommended Posts

I'm having a problem with a locked file.

To find out the reason for the lock, I engaged LockHunter, and it told me that the file was locked by MBAMService.exe.

That confuses me because the folder is on the exclusion list.

I had to black out the product name, but I can assure that the file name is the same in all spots, so it's not possible that I simply mistyped it.

Because I was worried that the sub folders weren't taken into account, I also added the individual subfolders, but to my understanding this should even be necessary.

But as I said, it doesn't work. MBAMService.exe locks this file.

Why?

Thanks, but moving the directory is not an option for me.

However, even when I disable "Detect Ransomware", set "Detect Exploits" to deactivated, disable "Detect Malware", my file is still being lock.

So as I looks to me I have to completely uninstall MBAM until that fix is released?

I have tried folder and file specific exclusions, rebooting multiple times.  Files are on C drive. It does not matter.  I have to keep unlocking the files.    This happens to multiple applications.  The one thing they have in common is they talk to another computer outside our network, either through sql or some other api.  That seems to be what is making MB angry.

Has there been any update for this issue? I was having constant errors due to locked files and it turns out Malwarebytes was the issue. I added folder exclusions, but the files are not located on the OS installed drive. When will this be fixed?
