Windows XP sp3 and 3.2.2, Google crashes, can't access Firefox

I did the update to 3.2.2 and now Firefox will not open (I deleted it). Google might open but it just stops working. Sometimes restarting the computer will work, sometimes not. I-explorer does the same.

I am a computer user and not tech savvy. I did manage to turn off the self protection. I need help!

Can you start by uninstalling and reinstalling Adobe Reader? I see a lot of crashes related to PD.exe which seems to be part of Adobe Reader. unfortunately I don't see any other crashes

Thanks for this, although this isn't an issue on XP as there's no BFE service there

Thanks for the info. I have not even booted an XP system since it went EOL.
