hijack.autoconfigurl.prxysvrrst

Recommended Posts

Hello everybody. Few days ago I ran .exe file which was infected.  After full system scan with MBAM it detected few Hijack.AutoConfigURL.PrxySvrRST instances, deleted them and here I am. Since infection I am getting random redirects to advertisements sites after clicking legit links etc., in my browser(Opera). Happens at every hour of day, with random frequency.

I have scanned the system with Zemana Antimalware, adwcleaner, Hitman pro, JRT, Windows malicious software and McAfee Stinger. Only Stinger found one trojan but others came out empty. I also did a scan with RougeKiller but didn't delete none of it's detections as am not sure which are ok to.

I would like to ask you for help with this as no matter what I do redirects happen all the time.

Hello @cnsbroken and :welcome:

Please download the attached fixlist.txt file and save it to the Desktop.
NOTE. It's important that both files, FRST or FRST64 and fixlist.txt are in the same location or the fix will not work.

NOTICE: This script was written specifically for this user, for use on this particular machine. Running this on another machine may cause damage to your operating system.

Run FRST or FRST64 and press the Fix button just once and wait.
If the tool needs a restart please make sure you let the system restart normally and let the tool complete its run after restart.
The tool will make a log on the Desktop (Fixlog.txt). Please attach or post it to your next reply.

Note: If the tool warned you about an outdated version please download and run the updated version.

Thanks

Ron

After fix redirects seem to be gone. Well, that was fast :) (no sarcasm here, I mean some peoples pc issues seem to be far more complex) Thing is, I have nearly stock browser now xD, wanted to keep few sites cookies like google ones and few others. Prior to this I tried to clean all of them but adware sites kept popping out, now after fix annoyance is gone unless I would try to restore my browser folder. I mean, was it registry keys or/and browser mess causing this? I don't know, considering that antimalware scans were coming clean all last week after initial removal of the hijack 6 days ago.

Anyway, thank you very much for your time! I would donate but you don't have reference button in signature ^_^
