Possible false positive Adobe Reader DC

Recommended Posts

Hi, my organisation is getting alerts about Adobe Reader DC being a potential trojan. I suspect it's just a recent update that hasn't yet been vetted?

I wasn't entirely sure how to get my log file now that I've made an exception? Please let me know if you need more info.

Thanks

Hi

We are having the same issue across 5000 devices we have also had to add an exception to the policy! Which looks to be slowly going out!

Hi,

I can't reproduce detection on this file.

Can you zip and attach the malwarebytes log here where it shows the exact detection?

Thanks!

We are getting this as well, various clients reporting it as malware

Trojan.Agent     Quarantined      C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat Reader DC\Reader\AcroCEF\RdrCEF.exe

Hi,

We were able to identify the False Positive.

This has been fixed in a meanwhile, so please update your database version to:

MBAM2 Version: v2017.09.14.04
MBAM3 Version: 1.0.2802

Sidenote, MBAM3 users weren't affected as this could not be reproduced with MB3.

Thanks and sorry for the inconvenience
