rob1 Posted September 14, 2017 ID:1163311 Share Posted September 14, 2017 Hi, folks - I'm running into two problems: 1) I'm getting repeated notifications that real-time protection is turned off, but when I try to enable it (Settings > Protection > Web Protection), it just says "Starting..." and never seems to actually start. 2) Recent threat scans take about 2 seconds and don't actually scan any files. This feels wrong. :-) I've attached the requested mb-check-results.zip file; please let me know if I can provide any more information. Just download the latest installer from : https://downloads.malwarebytes.org/file/mb3 Run the installer on top of your existing product. I ran the installer as you suggested, then restarted my PC when prompted. Unfortunately, it looks like the installer removed Malwarebytes from my system, which is not usually what happens when I install software. :-) Any ideas? One question: why did I need to manually apply this particular update? Usually, I get a notification when there's an update.
