[SVCVMX.exe] Removed using MBAR, Stuck in boot

Recommended Posts

I removed it using mbar, then I was prompted to restart;  which I did.  Now my PC won't turn on. Instead it immediately says "diagnosing your PC"  followed by an automatic repair window saying "your PC did not start correctly".  Can't start in safe mode, safe mode with networking, or safe mode with command prompt.  I tried restoring to MBAR restore point..  no luck.  So I tried restoring to an earlier date..  same story. I CAN access the command prompt from the advanced startup options.. I'm on windows 8. PLEASE HELP! I can't afford to lose all my files ?.

Hello Diligence and welcome to Malwarebytes,

You mention being able to access the command prompt from the advanced startup options.. If that is true see if you can do the following:

Please download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool from here:

http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/farbar-recovery-scan-tool/

save it to a USB flash drive. Ensure to get the correct version for your system, 32 bit or 64 bit...

Next,

From "Advance Options" select "Command Prompt" ensure to plug the flash drive into an open USB port...

Continue with the following:

  • In the command window type in notepad and press Enter.
  • The notepad opens. Under File menu select Open.
  • Select "Computer" and find your flash drive letter and close the notepad.
  • In the command window type e:\frst64 or e:\frst depending on your version. Press Enter Note: Replace letter e with the drive letter of your flash drive.
  • The tool will start to run.
  • When the tool opens click Yes to disclaimer.
  • Press Scan button.
  • It will make a log (FRST.txt) on the flash drive. Please copy and paste it to your reply.

Thanks,

Kevin...
