Is this type of nonsense going to happen every time I update?

They are working on a solution if the 3.2 does not have it built in for future releases.

This just happened to me as well. I updated the software and rebooted my PC..."Poof," gone!

1. Download the latest MB 3 installer from : https://downloads.malwarebytes.org/file/mb3
2. Run the installer on top of your existing product. (Note you don't have to uninstall anything, just run the installer again)

Thank you for reporting your issues. Can I have you both run the mb-check tool from https://downloads.malwarebytes.com/file/mb3_check and provide the mb-check-results.zip

Also provide all "Uninstall Log" from your temp folder (%temp% or C:\Users\[yourusername]\AppData\Local\Temp)
The uninstall logs you'll be looking for will look something like this: "Uninstall Log 2017-09-01 #001.txt"

Even if you have already resolved your upgrade issue, I would like to analyze the underlying causes of your upgrade problem with these logs.
