Thank you, I tried the newer version download. PC displayed black screen with cursor and would not reboot for ages after removal of PUPs. When it finally did so, no system diagnostics and performance available. Restored to previous day and did check disc. I am not blaming the Adw tool because my PC has been unstable for a while. That is why I downloaded Adw cleaner and various other remedies to try and eliminate possible malware as the cause of my problems. Obviously the elements mentioned before are now back on my PC but, I am wary of using Adw cleaner again.

Hello, Also had the PUP.Optional.Legacy that could not be deleted. Foolishly downloaded 10bit rubbish but, uninstalled once I realised malwarebytes viewed it as spyware. Now it seems to have a field day on my PC.

I find that I may have misinterpreted information on the internet about 10bit software. The developers cannot be held responsible for the behaviour of sites other than their own that distribute their software. If it did not work on my PC it is my own fault.
