Pop up never completes 'Switch on Real time Protection'

Everyday a pop up appears saying real time protection layer is switched off. If I click 'activate' nothing happens and the pop up just keeps reappearing until I open the software and activate from there. Very annoying... Any suggestions?  Windows 8.1.   Even then the web protection layer often  just doesn't seem to want to switch on....

Can you try installing the latest 3.2.2.2018 over your existing product and let me know if that worked.

Just download the latest installer from : https://downloads.malwarebytes.org/file/mb3

Run the installer on top of your existing product. No need to uninstall.
