Maleware byte looses default settings

I searched the forum and found a simular issue in 2016, but no solution. So here a nother try

After a power failure, Malewarebyte looses al my default settings. Even the one about user access. Worse of it all, some settings I can't change at all after the power failure (User settings and Automatic update for instance).

Only uninstalling and reinstall helps. Your support is appreciated

Is this happening often? You mentioned after a power failure, and from what I'm seeing in your logs, you may have some registry corruption

Well, it all started when my son did the poweroff trick to get him self to logon (I was AFK afking and he got annoyed by the sounf of my account). Power off trick is, pressing the power button for a long while to shut the PC down

He did it 4 or 5 times now (at least, thats what is eventually told me, boy is 9 years old )

Sorry, I actually meant file corruption, not registry. Some of the files that MB3 uses to hold your configuration data were not able to be read correctly and thus, your settings were reset. Do you continue to see this issue now?

Unfortunately yes

So, remove MB3 again I guess and re-install again. That will be the 4th time :/

Yes, that's probably the best solution. This shouldn't be happening, but if you're turning off the computer by holding down the power button, this can lead to unintended behavior.

@obiku19 Be sure to use the MB-clean tool...

After uninstall, you'll be given the option to reinstall.

Uninstalling and re-installing as we speak.
Told my son to not hard power down the computer next couple of days to check if that solves the issue.

Don't ever hard power down a PC unless it is an emergency.  Teach son how to properly switch accounts.
