Herc130 Posted August 18, 2017 ID:1154727 Share Posted August 18, 2017 Need HELP! Downloaded Malwarebytes. for Android (Samsung Galaxy Tab-A) yesterday. Scanned and results indicated that I should encrypt tablet. I started that process this evening. After a while a message popped up on the screen ever so brief stating encryption failed. Reset device. Then a pad lock appeared on screen which went from locked to open with a colored circle go around and around the lock. I can neither turn off, nor restart the device. Attempts to select the reset device when icon appears has absolutely no effect. So far this has been going on for two hours. I am unable to open the back to disconnect the battery. It appears that I have lost a very good tablet to this vicious feature (and perhaps my ignorance). Can someone help me out here! Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
