Worst upgrade system ever for Android Premium

So Malwarebytes now wants to charge for Android. Fair enough.

First electronic nightmare: Learning of this change arrives in discovering the icon has changed and the app is asking me for permissions to upgrade to Premium. Sure, it's probably ok, but how do I know this isn't a clever piece of malware? Someday, a hacker will figure out this would be a really good way to phish for information. 

Second electronic nightmare: Having established that this is legitimate software, I decide to go Premium. But the Play Store declines to accept the cell provider as a payment system. Why? Who knows.

Third electronic nightmare: Entering credit card information into a phone.  Then the credit card gets repeatedly declined. Why? Who knows? It's correct. Finally, for no obvious reason, it gets accepted. But now the Gmail password has to be provided. 

Fourth electronic nightmare: entering a strong password on a phone keyboard. A man could go blind. The password gets rejected repeatedly.  Surrendering, it graciously allows me to claim that I forgot my password (I didn't). As soon as I enter the same password I have entered three times as the "last known password," the gates to the Google Kingdom swing open and payment is accepted. 

Fifth electronic nightmare: So... where is the license key? Where is the receipt?  Can an advanced society actually be running on security this low? 

Sixth electronic nightmare: The new screen asks for elevated permissions that would allow Malwarebytes to suddenly erase the phone and otherwise take drastic actions. Why is it needed? No explanations are provided.

Bruised and battered, the customer experience is complete.

Why not just allow for purchase of a license key from MB in the usual fashion? Why subject users to this sort of idiocy?

Yes. I think I'll skip it too. Concerned that the programme needs phone administration to operate correctly concerning ransomware.

This sounds like it will control the phone and possibly shut out other security programmes such as BitDefender which deals with Ransomware without a need to have administrator rights.

I can't make up my mind on the un-installation instructions. Is there a caution note in there concerning giving phone adminitration permissions.

That is for explaining:

There, as published date of 25 August 2017. And you've already done it on 15 August, how does it come about?
I have no problems at the moment, I think.
How does this happen?
And what is the name of the tool now: Malwarebytes for Android, in a german Play Store? Or just the best Malwarebytes Mobile 3.0.
Is this the working title?
Strange is the whole thing.

Concerned that the programme needs phone administration to operate correctly concerning ransomware.

Device administration is only needed for ransomware remediation.

For some reason, if our user installed a ransomware despite of our warnings, users still have a way to remediate it. And in some cases, a ransomware may change user pin, and to remediate that we use device admin to reset pin (via sms commands).

Device admin also protect our app to be uninstalled by malware and ransomware.

Well, this a valid concern. In case you are not sure (i'm saying this for any app), you can uninstall the version and re-install it from Google Play. But, we note your concern and keep it mind for next time.

Regarding issues with Google Play. Unfortunately, they have some strict rules when it comes to payment :(

For in app purchases, Google Play sends an invoice and for user convenience we use Google Play Service API for licensing. This way user can have active subscription on his all devices with same account.

We do not use device admin permissions for erasing the phone or any other drastic actions. We need it in case a ransomware changed your device pin so we can reset it (via sms commands). Application will continue working, and our pro-active protection layers (RTP & ARP) will work without device admin. As i said previously, device admin is needed to remediate ransomware.

You can do that too. You can purchase a bundle key.

Will granting Malwarebytes administration rights cause any interference with other security programes such as BitDefender, CCleaner and Knox.

Will it impact my phone in any way.

Will it interfere with manufacturers updates.

I specifically ask this given past Malwarebytes / BitDefender conflict issues. Issues which resulted in my uninstalling and cancelling my subscriptions to Malwarebytes.

I do not wish to become embroiled in another game of you blame and I'll blame you as happened.

This information will influence my decision to purchase or not to purchase Malwarebytes mobile.
