Real-Time Protection Web protection won't start

Recommended Posts

oS = W10 (up to date)

MW version=3.06.1469

not quite the same issue, but similar. as you can see MW is reporting that Ransomware Protection is "starting".... it just hangs there.  as i understand it, this virus doesn't attack w10 so much, yet, i'd still like to have ALL the protection MW offers if i'm already paying for it :)     of course my concern is that the MW Dashboard shows I'm not fully protected and that i should turn on real time protections. To my knowledge, all MW settings are default. i wouldn't know which to turn off, let alone why i would want to :o  i did a scan, MW is up to date (so i'm told) yet  the red "!" in the tray icon is worrisome.  please advise.

Seems like you are using the older build of Mb 3.x

I would recommend upgrading to the latest 3.1.2.1733 CU 1.0.160build.

We have another tool called MB-Clean which will automate the whole process for you.

Tool can be found at : https://downloads.malwarebytes.com/file/mb_clean

1. After downloading the tool run the tool.
2. The tool will automatically clean up the older 3.0.5 product and will ask you for a restart.
3. Restart your system and then the MB-Clean tool will prompt you to re-install the latest product .
4. Click on "Yes" to reinstall MB 3.×.
5. Now you will have the latest product installed.

Please let me know if you are still seeing issues after the latest product install.
