.dll file quaratined, now unable to start windows

Recommended Posts

Hi there!

I'm posting this in the name of my dad, so expect second hand, vague reports. Sorry :/

But let's try anyway, shall we?

Do, my dad wanted me to fix his Medion laptop.

It doesn't start to windows anymore ever since MBs quarantined "a" dll file, presumably from the Windows 10's sys64 folder.

I currently have the laptop's HDD in my computer, looking to manually put the quarantined file back, but I cannot for the life of me find the MB quarantine folder.

I can't check up by myself since I use S&D myself.

I know this all is very vague and little to no useful information, but I think I'd be helped if I can report certain MB logs here and if you helpe me locate the quarantined file.

Thanks a bunch :)

Can somebody just tell me where to find this quarantine folder?

I'm not sure that will do you much good as the quarantined files are encrypted. So it's not just a matter of copying them back to their original locations. Hopefully, someone from MB I (@AdvancedSetup) will be along to help you soon.

MB's quarantine folder is encrypted and can not be restored that way.

I will ask staff to assist. @LiquidTension @AdvancedSetup
