Hello @roger_m

Normally I would never drag up an old topic like this, but it looks like it was never answered for you back then. I open it now as I see you posted on Wilders Security Forums about this again

Can you please post a screenshot of what  you're experiencing and a set of logs as well.

To begin, please do the following so that we may take a closer look at your installation for troubleshooting:

NOTE: The tools and the information obtained are safe and not harmful to your privacy or your computer, please allow the programs to run if blocked by your system.

  • Download the Malwarebytes Support Tool
  • In your Downloads folder, open the mb-support-x.x.x.xxx.exe file
  • In the User Account Control pop-up window, click Yes to continue the installation
  • Run the MBST Support Tool
  • In the left navigation pane of the Malwarebytes Support Tool, click Advanced
  • In the Advanced Options, click Gather Logs. A status diagram displays the tool is Getting logs from your machine
  • A zip file named mbst-grab-results.zip will be saved to your desktop, please upload that file on your next reply

Thank you

Doing that would be pointless.  It is not a bug, it is a problem with the design of Malwarebytes, which affects it on every computer it runs on, not just mine.  In pretty much every other Windows app, when you click in the space above the bar in the scroll bar, it is the equivalent of pressing the Page Up.  If you click below the bar, it's like pressing Page Down.  You can test this in your browser on this very webpage.  In Malwarebytes, the bar moves to where the mouse cursor is.

I tested it on my system just now and it is moving through the scan results. I will say though that the color shading doesn't make the scrollbar area below the main indicator bar very visible, but it does work.

Let me change the color scheme and disable hardware detection and see if that makes any difference

I re-read your post about the scrollbar and I think we need confirmation of what other program or operation you believe works that way. Even right here in Firefox browser if you click above or below the scrollbar indicator it will move to where you click the mouse for me.

But, I do disable smooth scrolling as I find it annoying myself. However, I think that is possibly what you're talking about?

I believe you're wanting the mouse click to perform a PAGE UP - PAGE DOWN action, is that correct?
