Red Circle White X clicked on icon O_o

Recommended Posts

I'm not so hot with computers sorry. So after going to a site i've never had problems with out of nowhere this red circle with a white x pops up on my task bar. Says "Your computer is infected. It's recommended to install latest security software... windows will now install the most recent software.....". I dont think i touched anything but out of nowhere this home antivirus 2010 comes up on my screen and starts scanning my computer and when it finishes says i have 31 unwanted programs on my computer 20 very dangerous 8 not so dangerous 3 junk. Tells me to register now to remove viruses so i dont click on that. First i try to update and scan with our purchased mcafee security system. It updates fine but says an error when trying to scan. I've tried to open malwarebytes but it says windows cannot access the specidies device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permisssions to access the item. I then use avg free but it cant update but i scan anyways and nothing comes up. So currently i've rebooted the computer took out my internet connection and went into safe mode.

PLEASE HELP ME!!! very much appreciated.

Welcome to Malwarebytes!!! <_<

We need to see some additional information about what is happening in your machine.

Please perform the following scan:

  • Download DDS by sUBs from one of the following links. Save it to your desktop.

[*]Double click on the DDS icon, allow it to run.

[*]A small box will open, with an explanation about the tool.

[*]When done, DDS will open two (2) logs

    1. DDS.txt

    2. Attach.txt

[*] Save both reports to your desktop.

[*] The instructions here ask you to attach the Attach.txt.

    DDS.jpg

[*]Instead of attaching, please copy/past both logs into your next reply.

[*]Close the program window, and delete the program from your desktop.

Please note: You may have to disable any script protection running if the scan fails to run.

After downloading the tool, disconnect from the internet and disable all antivirus protection.

Run the scan, enable your A/V and reconnect to the internet.
