I noticed recently that Malwarebytes 3 was not working properly.  Malwarebytes 3 was running in free mode.  I activated my license and Pro became active, but scans terminate after 9 seconds with Result = Cancelled, Web protection never starts, still seems to lose key info occasionally on restart.  Old version removed via MWB clean and Version 3.0.5.1299 installed, but it still has the same problem.  I'm concerned I've got a some malware that is disabling MWB.  I've put in two support tickets but no response from the support team.  I'm not sure how to access my support tickets online???  Anyone have a suggestion for me to fix this problem or at least get a response from the support team.

Hello and Welcome back...

Version 3.0.5 is an older version, the newest version has many bug fixes including the fix for the issue your having... please update to the latest version you can do so cleanly by following the steps below.

Let's try this first.... (Malwarebytes clean removal tool will backup your license information and then re-enter the license to the new install)

  1. Please follow the steps in this pinned topic to uninstall your current version of MBAM and reinstall the latest build - Malwarebytes mb-clean tool (NOTE: After uninstalling with the mb-claen tool you will be asked to reboot. Once you reboot it will ask you if you want to re-install Malwarebytes, you can select YES (it will download the latest version) or you can download the latest version manually (currently v3.1.2.1733 CU 1.0.160) to re-install from HERE)
  2. If that does not correct the issue, then please read the following and attach to your next reply the 3 requested logs - Diagnostic Logs (the 3 logs are: mb-check-results.zip, FRST.txt, Addition.txt)

Thanks.  Before i got your reply i found the latest download in the forums and just overloaded it. This seems to have fixed my problem.  Scan is now running and the web protection now says it is ON, so things now look good.  I guess my problem was that the application update wasn't working and I used the download from the purchase email to upload the new version, but that link was loading the old version. After posting, I found a link for the latest version in the MWB 3 forum.  The support website may have the latest link, but it wasn't immediately obvious if was located there.  Anyway, all seems well now.
