MikeHansell Posted July 9, 2017 ID:1141456 Share Posted July 9, 2017 Hi guys, Just a small but annoying thing, the date format in Malwarebytes does not follow the regional setting. I'm in Australia and today is 9/7/2017, not 7/9/2017... well as far as I'm concerned anyway. If MS can get it right then... Mike H
Aura Posted July 9, 2017 ID:1141458 Share Posted July 9, 2017 Hi Mike H. This is a known issue and already in Malwarebytes to-do list for Malwarebytes 3. There's been a couple of reports on the forums already about this.
TempLost Posted July 9, 2017 ID:1141460 Share Posted July 9, 2017 Mike, A temporary workaround until they fix this annoying bug is to choose English UK language, when the date format will appear as you expect. This formatting is lost on upgrading or reinstalling (another annoying bug) but it should be rectified in a future release.
MikeHansell Posted August 12, 2017 Author ID:1152368 Share Posted August 12, 2017 Ah, thank you TempLost. That fixed it. Sorry to bring up an old issue, but it seems so straightforward to have never been an issue.
TempLost Posted August 12, 2017 ID:1152430 Share Posted August 12, 2017 And still an issue, I believe - but glad to help.
Skier Posted August 12, 2017 ID:1152437 Share Posted August 12, 2017 And whilst we're on this subject (sort of). Why is it that 'English' in the drop down menu is US English whereas if you wish to select the actual English language you have to select 'English (UK)' as though the UK variant of the language is not the norm. I'm aware that Malwarebytes is headquartered in the US but the language is 'English' as developed, adapted and exported from England!
Pierre75 Posted August 12, 2017 ID:1152473 Share Posted August 12, 2017 Blame Microsoft for that. They started it when they wrote their first OS a long time ago.
