Hi everyone i wonder if you could help me as i'm having trouble trying to activate the License for Malwarebytes as i keep having trouble as i keep receiving 2 error messages the first error message says Unable to contact license server check your network settings or contact your system administrator for help see uploaded file screen shot error 1 when i click ok i then receive another error message saying  MBAM 404101 installation_token not found . There is a problem with your license key and we are unable to activate your license details and try entering your key again  if you continue to have trouble contact Malwarebytes support for assistance see uploaded file screen shot error 2, i have also attached the mb-check-results.zip file for you to look at and attached  the two files recomended by Malwarebytes called FRST.txt and Addition.txt (see attached files) Please could you help me any help would be appreciated to resolve this problem

Hello @Darrenwilkinson

Thank you for the data log files.  The system's MB3 installation is unable to properly validate the Malwarebytes' license key because of an intentional block of communications with the Malwarebytes' license server.

Please permanently delete the following entry from the Windows 10 HOSTS file at C:\WINDOWS\system32\Drivers\etc\hosts:

127.0.0.1                   keystone.mwbsys.com

Then, restart the Windows 10 system to NORMAL boot mode.  When completed, please post a reply to this topic with your progress.

To minimize confusion, a request will be made to delete your duplicate topic.  Thank you again.

Thanks for getting back to me i have done what you have said by deleting the HOSTS file at C:\WINDOWS\system32\Drivers\etc\hosts

127.00.1 keystone.mwbsys.com and rebooted the computer i then ran Malwarebytes again  inputting the activation key and ID and presto it has worked the key activated i have Malwarebytes activated and working thanks again for all your help in resolving this problem

My instructions may not have been interpreted correctly.  The file was not to be deleted.  The offending entry within the file was to be deleted instead.

If the HOSTS file was mistakenly deleted, please let me know so a corrective procedure can be made.  Thank you.
