Malwarebytes vs. AdwCleaner - are both needed?

I ran a full scan of a windows 10 laptop using the latest consumer version of Malwarebytes 3 (paid), and nothing was discovered. But shortly after the scan I had a fake pop up window telling me chrome was outdated and to click on a random link to update it. (I did not). So then I ran a scan with ADWcleaner and it found a deleted a couple folders (see below).  I'm not sure if my issue is resolved yet, but my question is, I assumed Malwarebytes 3 was all I needed....    Since ADWcleaner is owned by malwarebytes I would have assumed the same detection rules would have been incorporated.... Should I be running other tools as well on a regular basis (like ADWcleaner and other 3rd party tools)?

Hello,

Both software are still complementary for some time, but you'll see more homogeneous detections starting from the coming weeks, especially with AdwCleaner v7.
