I am facing trouble with mbam 3 recently windows defender detected a Behavior: Win32/Gamarue.gen!A malware but it didn't specified any file or folder just some random numbers.I tried to remove it but it keeps coming back so I decided to scan with malware bytes but it freezes randomly sometimes on startup objects or sometimes on file scanning (no particular file). I tried mbma clean uninstall and tried reinstalling I am facing same issue , Then I tried chameleon and it downloaded mbam 2.2.1.1043 and its working with and without chameleon. I think its something to do with mbam 3 since older one is working properly.

I am using win 10 64bit

  • Use mb-check to gather MB3 logs:
    1. Download mb-check from here and save to your desktop
    2. Run mb-check and within a few second the command window will open and then close
    3. This will produce one log file on your desktop: mb-check-results.zip
    4. Attach this log file to your post by clicking on the "Drag files here to attach, or choose files..." or simply drag the file to the attachment area
  • Create and obtain Farbar Recovery Scan Tool (FRST) logs
    1. Download FRST and save it to your desktop
      1. Note: You need to run the version compatible with your system. You can check here if you're not sure if your computer is 32-bit or 64-bit
    2. Double-click to run and when the tool opens click Yes to the disclaimer
    3. Press Scan button
    4. This will product two files in the same location (directory) as FRST: FRST.txt and Addition.txt
      1. Attach both of these logs to your post by clicking on the "Drag files here to attach, or choose files..." or simply drag the files to the attachment area

Ok, please follow the instructions below so we can check some data on your machine:

  1. Download FRST from the following URL and save it to your desktop: https://downloads.malwarebytes.com/file/frst64
  2. Download the attached fixlist.txt file and save it to your desktop
  3. Open FRST and click Yes on the UAC prompt
  4. Click the Fix button and wait until you see a message saying the fix is completed
  5. Click Ok to close the message and then close the notepad window that opens up
  6. Close FRST
  7. On your desktop should be a file named fixlog.txt, please upload that in your reply

fixlist.txt
