On startup - tells me database not current

Since the latest update to Malware Premium 3,

On startup  it tells me the 'Database is not current', despite setting for the database is set for Auto Update.

I have to update manually to clear the warning.

It will warn you each time you are more than 24 hours out of date. It will update after start up at the next update interval, in about an hour if you are set at the default settings.

An addition to what @Porthos said:

If I don't use my computer for a day, I will get this warning at the very same time that it goes out to get updates.  Irritating, but it usually comes out just fine.

I'll put up with it, if there is no fault with it.

The old version just updated what ever the setting were.

True, and true.

Its a trivial nuisance, though if you're not familiar with the program, it could be a cause for alarm.  I'm sure its in the backlog as something to be fixed, but there's always the battle between prioritized bug fixes and new features (not counting unplanned problems).  They'll get it fixed.

The old one updated the same way but you did not get a pop after 24 hours. It still had the same update interval.
