One of the main reasons that I purchased Malwarebytes was to protect me from ransomware.  I have forever been plagued by a pop-up that says that windows has detected a security breach and that I must call a 1-800 number to resolve the issue.  I can remove it by going to task manager and ending Edge to unlock my computer.  This is not just annoying, but it also shuts down the browser.  After restarting the browser, it asks if I want to return to the last page.  I'm not sure if I'm that stupid or not so I close the browser and start browsing over.  Now there are several more of these pop-ups and none of them are detected or prevented by Malwarebytes.  Does anyone else have this problem a, and if so, what can be done to help?  Again, this was one of the main reasons for purchasing Malwarebytes.

Hello and Welcome to Malwarebytes

Its quite possible your browser has been hijacked.  It would be best to get your computer checked out by one of our experts to make sure your computer is clean.  To do so simply follow the instructions below for help.

We are not permitted to work on possible malware-related issues here in this section of the forum.
Such work is conducted in a special forum area reserved for that purpose, or at the help desk.

So, for expert assistance, I suggest that you please follow the advice in this pinned topic: Available Assistance For Possibly Infected Computers.

It explains the options for free, expert help -->>AND<<-- the suggested, preliminary steps to expedite the process.
A malware analyst will assist you with looking into your issue.

Thank you

Thank you for an offer to spend more money.  The reason that I bought Malwarebytes protection was to protect from problems, to scan for problems and remove problems found.  This is a new computer that I installed this protection into.  I just want to know if anyone else is having this problem.  Your suggestion to take my computer to an expert for a checkup is not acceptable.  The last time I did that, I just left the computer there because the charge was more than I wanted to invest in a last generation computer.  Can anyone help me with my problem without costing any more money?  This forum seems to be the only contact point with Malwarebytes, so maybe they will contact me since I can't contact them.
