Quarantine empty after update

I was using Malwarebytes 2 when I decided to upgrade to Malwarebytes 3. There were a few things in my quarantine, but I thought it would carry over to the new update. When I checked my quarantine after the update it was empty and I immediately ran a scan to make sure the infected files weren't released back on my PC. It came out clean but I'm wondering did it delete the quarantined files off my computer or are they still sitting around in a folder somewhere?
